Taken 3 finds Liam Neeson, who was paid $20 million to star in this third in the Taken series, the hunted prey after he’s framed for the murder of someone close to him. “I have to go on the run, I’ll put it that way, from the not-so-lawful types and the lawful authorities,” says Liam Neeson, choosing his words carefully. “Bryan Mills served his country faithfully, but now even they are after him. They must not like me.”

Taken and Taken 2 writers Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen wrote the screenplay for Taken 3.

Taken, released in 2009, earned $145,000,989 in the U.S., alone, from just a $25 million budget, which told the story of Liam Neeson’s Bryan Mills as he frantically tries to get his kidnapped daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) back from her captors.

Taken 2, which made $139,854,287 in the U.S., but cost $45 million, featured Kim springing into action to rescue her father and mother Lenore (Famke Janssen) when they are kidnapped in Albania.
